Pillai Centre of Innovation and Entrpreeurship

Celina Joy is currently the Co-ordinator of Pillai Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship having being actively involved in setting it up in 2015. She is a Chartered Accountant and has a PhD from University of Mumbai. She also has a Master of Commerce degree from Mumbai University and an MBA from Bharathiar University. She mentors and guides students interested in pursuing their own businesses at every stage, from ideation to incubation. She is passionate about mentoring, entrepreneurship, teaching and social work. She also teaches courses in finance and human resources to postgraduate students. Prior to this she has worked at various responsibility levels for one of the leading companies in the hospitality sector for sixteen years. She has conducted Personality Development and Team Building sessions for educational institutes and the corporate sector. She is currently one of the Directors of IWFCI – India National Chapter. She has presented and published several research papers at the national and international level. Her publications include co-authoring book chapters in the books published by IGI Global titled ‘Critical Issues on Changing

About us

The vision of Pillai Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is to encourage and inculcate the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth. It is a forum for exchange of innovative ideas that stimulate economic growth and help build sustainable businesses thereby developing entrepreneurship skills among the youth and job creation within the community while envisaging a responsible approach towards the environment. The Centre is open to the 10000 students studying architecture, engineering, commerce and management in the various institutes at the Campus. It provides support and guidance to student start-ups from the stage of ideation to fruition by providing free co-working spaces, opportunities for networking and providing access to high quality technical and managerial expertise. So far five young start-ups have been incubated at this centre.
